The Yogi Psychologist
Dr. Karen Samuels, Ph.D, C.E.D.S., has been a psychologist and yogi working with the continuum of disordered eating and body image challenges for over 30 years. She fuses psychotherapy and yoga in her private practice, retreats, and workshops, to treat a wide range of concerns. Rooted in a relational perspective, she specializes in eating disorders, body image & weight/shape concerns, health and wellness, anxiety & mood disorders, and relationship issues. Dr. Samuels offers a relational/cultural approach in pursuit of living well and flourishing with the demands of the 21st century. Utilizing mindfulness practices, developing adaptive strategies to produce better health outcomes, a collaborative approach is key to our work together. Dr. Samuels works with individuals, couples and families facing the challenges of living and thriving in the face of many cultural pressures. She has years of successful experience helping people make positive changes to live fuller and more satisfying lives. She is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist, C.E.D.S.-I.A.E.D.P. International Association for Eating Disorders Professionals.
